The majority of legislation generally recognizes the validity and probative value of documents that are natively electronic (i.e., created as electronic originals), subject to compliance requirements.
There is no legal requirement to retain HR documents in paper form in Israel, and there are no restrictions on distributing and storing documents electronically. If a record is questioned in court, the "best evidence" rule would apply. This means that litigants must submit the best evidence available to court in order to prove the fact the litigant wishes to prove.
